SCHOLARSHIPS


The Doris Sklar Scholarship
Established in honor of Doris Sklar, a former NYU faculty member and expert in conference management, this scholarship is awarded to students (except freshmen)in good academic standing with an interest in convention facility management and operations.

Laurence Geller Hotel Development Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a career in hotel finance and development. Candidates must be full-time juniors in their fall semester and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Students also receive a paid summer internship (housing and incidentals not included). Special consideration is given to students who have successfully completed courses in finance.

The NYU International Hospitality Industry Investment Conference Patron and Sponsor Scholarships
Scholarships are available through the annual NYU International Industry Investment Conference. Need- and merit-based awards are given to new students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. For current students, U.S. citizenship is not required but applicants must be in good academic standing.

The Preston Robert Tisch Industry Leadership Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded to current students based on merit and/or need. These funds are provided by the Preston Robert Tisch Distinguished Industry Leadership Award Dinner. Students must maintain a 3.2 GPA.

UNIVERSITY-WIDE SCHOLARS PROGRAMS

Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholars
This honor is offered to select freshmen who demonstrate exceptional scholastic ability and a commitment to the principles of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., including leadership, community service, humanitarianism, and social progress. Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholars are eligible to receive a merit scholarship and may also qualify for need-based financial aid. They participate in cultural and social events as well as community service activities. Scholars also travel domestically and internationally and conduct research projects.

Lewis Rudin City Scholars
NYU has established the Lewis Rudin City Scholars to recognize the academic excellence and community service of exceptional graduates from New York City high schools. Rudin Scholars will receive a scholarship to attend NYU. They may participate in academic and cultural activities in New York City and travel to major international cities.

The Reynolds Program in Social Entrepreneurship
NYU has established the Reynolds Program in Social Entrepreneurship to prepare the next generation of civic-minded leaders and managers with the skills, resources, and networking opportunities needed to succeed in their chosen fields. Ten scholarships are awarded to currently enrolled undergraduates over the course of two years.

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarships
These scholarships are awarded to academically talented community college transfer students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa. Transfer students from all colleges who have participated in the Phi Theta Kappa program are eligible for consideration.
